Instant Fun

When I’m in the middle of working on a quilt that requires a great deal of time and concentration I like to take a break and refresh my brain with a smaller project for some instant gratification.
Being the eternal romantic that I am, I’ll probably choose something like this Marabella Floral stripe. ![]() If your taste is more contemporary, a Kaffe Fassett or Amy Butler fabric would be a great choice. It wouldn’t have to be one of their stripes. Just choose a coordinating fabric that goes with the body of the pillowcase.
The other pattern I found is for the Sienna Pillowcases. They use a variety of fabrics, pieced diagonally to form the fabric you make your cases from. What a great way to audition fabrics for a large quilt or make custom pillowcases to match a quilt you already have. Take a break and whip up a pair of these pillowcases for yourself. They’re sure to inspire quilting dreams! |
