Clutch and I are snuggled together on the couch listening to the rain coming down outside our window. It’s like tears falling from heaven.
I couldn’t let the day pass by without stopping to remember and honor all the innocent, brave souls who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.
I was in our much beloved Shipshewana on that day and had been enjoying a week long quilting trip with friends. My thoughts and prayers tonight are with the families who lost loved ones.

thank you for this Gayle…I am going to make this in honor of our great friend whom we lost the day after 911…he was a chief on an American submarine when he retired ….he was a great friend and fishing buddy ….. the shock of that day was too much for him and took many brave men who fought for America days and weeks after the initial attack…I think we will always remember where we were that day…..
I guess I am a little late but have to let you know I love th American Sunbonnet Sue. Thanks Bunches for sharing all your great work! Donna Rae
