		<description>Well...don&#039;t you just love those surprises?  Isn&#039;t that what keeps us interested in those appliquers that came before us and how they made the quilts?  I&#039;m very excited to see that it was, indeed, one of those lovely mid-century purples.  Not surprising though in that they used to use logwood as a purple dye and it&#039;s quite fugitive...and it fades out to exactly that shade of grey!  Good detecting, Gayle.
