Countdown to Beyond The Cherry Trees Quilt Block 6

As Clutch and I put the finishing touches on Block 6 of our Polka Dot Garden Beyond The Cherry Trees quilt I thought you might enjoy seeing one of the photographs we took today. I got out my trusty adjustable quilt stand, shoved furniture out of the way and took over 150 pictures. Halfway through I decided to start saving for a new camera because I really want to improve the quality of the pictures I take but these aren’t too bad and haven’t made their way through Photoshop yet which will make improvements. Here’s the first full picture of the entire quilt. No Photoshop work on it yet. I have about 30 other shots to review before I select the final version but it’s fun to look at this one and think about the fact there isn’t a single machine stitch in the whole quilt! ![]() In addition, the first four blocks are now available for purchase in the Online Store if you’re just joining us in making the quilt. ![]() The fabric requirements will remain a free download on the quilt’s page but fabric requirements for the individual blocks are provided with each pattern. Back to drawing at the light box. This month’s block is a real beauty. You’re going to love it! |

dear gay, i love very very much “beyond the cherry tree”, the first four blocks are realised, and i am working on the five block. it’s a great plesure to do it and i am always impatient to decouvert the following block.
the photo of the entire quilt is marvellous.
thank you again for this wonderfull quilt !
How exciting to see the whole quilt in one shot! I am so excited about this quilt; and so glad that I have decided to do this one along wtih the rest of the Cherry Tree lovers. Wish we all could post pictures of our finished blocks in one place. It would be fun to see what everyone is doing. The only sad thing about this quilt is that at one block per month, it is going to take us two years to get all the blocks before we have a completed quilt. I wish we could do two a month. I am so anxous to have this quilt completed. Thank you again for offering it up to us. Any hints on how large the cherries are in the border. I would love to get a jump start on them so that I will have samples of each of my reds (I am doing my scrappy) in the border.
Dear Gay
Im new to applique but not to quilting

Cant wait for the next block
Sincerely
Patty
