The love affair with the Cabot Cuties continues with Cabot Cuties II. Nancy Cabot was a fictional designer whose quilt blocks appeared in weekly newspaper columns during the 1930s. The Cabot Cuties II quilt is based from the hundreds of vintage designs I’ve collected. You’ll receive patterns for five or six 4 1/2” blocks each month during the program along with finishing instructions for the 66” x 72” quilt using all 80 blocks.

IMG_4340[1]There are all kinds of blocks - machine pieced, hand pieced and foundation paper pieced. Each pattern uses the easiest method of construction. I haven't decided if I'll use the indigo and cheddar setting for my blocks or keep it more classic and use a shirting print.

This next quilt I've been saving for a while. It's no secret that I'm in love with star blocks so here's a great mix of blocks and techniques to make the perfect galaxy of stars stitched with either light or bright stars.

Red and white, blue and white…..cheddar and white! I’m excited to offer this fun quilt as one of the $5 Block of the Month projects. I’m making the Starlight version of the quilt in red and white and using cuddle fabric for the backing so I’ll have a warm and cozy lap size quilt to use during the holidays.
Starbright IndigoI'm also making the Starbright colorway with some of my treasured indigo prints against a white background.

I really appreciate you patience in waiting for the new $5 Block of the Month quilts. I don't have as much design time as I used to and it takes me a lot longer to get new things ready but I'm still chipping away at my list. I'm really thrilled to share these new quilts with you!
