Sentimental Stitches News - March 2010

Some wonderful things happening at Sentmental Stitches and I wanted to share the news with all of you. I am now designing fabric for Blue Hill Fabrics ! My first collection is a children’s group called Petticoats & PolkaDots. It’s a vintage style collection with designs you’ll love even if there isn’t a baby in your future.  If you’re a shop owner, contact your sales representative or Blue Hill to order. I’ll be at Fabriganza in Chicago April 11 and 12 doing a few presentations so please stop and see me if you’re there.

If you haven’t visited the web site in a while you’ll want to check out the Beyond The Cherry Trees Floral Album Sampler. It’s a beautiful 1850s sampler quilt I’m offering as the first block of the month in the Polka Dot Garden series. Mark your calendar to pick up your free block each month. I post them by the 10th of the month. Past blocks can be purchased in the Online Store.

Beyond The Cherry Trees

There are new blocks and sections for Sally Post Floral Sampler  and  Midget Blocks.  New Sections 5, 6 and 7 are posted for the Shipshewana Amish Mystery quilt. You can also purchase the Sally Post Floral Sampler pattern if you’ve  missed any of those blocks too.

Clutch and I are doing some spring cleaning to fund our upcoming trips. I’m listing things on ebay like a beautiful 1800s applique quilt top, fabric from my stash. feedsacks and even some really cute things from my closet. Boutique clothes at bargain prices.  Fabric, books and such are going in the Online Store almost daily.

I’ll be in Shipshewana next month right after Fabriganza and you all know what fun that is. More traveling in May so if you want to stay in touch and join in the fun, follow me on Twitter and become a Fan on facebook by clicking on these cute links.

You’ll be first to hear about what’s new, see photo updates and videos from the road. I look forward to having you join me for all the fun things to come.  I think you’re fantastic!

Happy Stitches,

Gay

I have signed up for your newsletter about 13 months ago and haven’t received one yet. I have written a few times too asking questions and never got a reply.

I have been working on the Magic Vine blocks since the beginning and really have enjoyed them. I have my first 2 strips sewn together and have the strips added to them. I thought I should go ahead and just add a vine between them and finish it off, but I am not ready to give up on you posting the rest of the blocks yet.

Hope you can get back to posting the rest of the blocks soon.

    Hello there Gayle

Have tried again to sign up for the newsletter, but for some reason my computer is not letting it go through, so could you please add my name to the list for the newsletter. Am enjoying the Sally Post blocks and also eagerly awaiting the next block for the Amish quilt. Have told the girls from my quilting group and they are quite interested, we may even work on one of them together as a project. Thank you again for all the hard work that you do. It is much appreciated by us all.

I did not receive your newsletter. I have tried to subscribe again. It tells me that I am already subscribed. When I look at the web-site, the advertising is in the way. I can not read it. This is the second time I have sent this e-mail.

It is really disappointing that so many people were so excited about the Midget blocks, Sally Post blocks and Shipshewana Amish blocks, but months go by between new blocks being posted – or even an update to the newsletter.

I think the last newsletter was two months ago.

I would consider purchasing the 4″ Midget blocks, but have already done so many of the 4.5 inch blocks – I do not want to start over.
