FREE STUFF - FREE PATTERNS - FREE STUFF
There’s nothing better than finding patterns that are fun to make, easy to construct, have an online teacher you can call on at any time, and best of all they are FREE.
I love to design quilt patterns and locate treasured patterns from the past in addition to redrafting designs from my family’s history in quilting. I also love to teach and encourage quilter’s to try something new so I’m committed to being your resource for questions and even that little push to get you going again.
Any pattern uploaded in this section will be availabe for FREE for one year from the date it was first published. Fear not, for after the year is up, you’ll be able to purchase them from the Online Store
I hope you’ll enjoy making some of the projects here. They are listed in the box to the right. Block of the Month patterns will be posted by the 10th of each month. Other projects will just pop up as I get them ready so check back often.
And finally, if there’s something you’d like to see here please let me know!

I just found your website and it sounds interesting.
I would love to be able to get your redwork patterns.
I hope you’ll come back often to see what’s new!
How do you order patterns? Found a few I love to have.
Hi Barbara,
If you go in to the “Online Store”, then “Patterns” and the item you want, it’s as simple as clicking the “Add to Cart” button. When you have all the items you want in your shopping cart, click on the “Proceed to Checkout” and you’ll be able to complete your order there. You can pay with a credit card using the Paypal icon. You don’t need a Paypal account to do this. You also have the option to mail a money order or check. If you need help, just let me know.
do you have the fabric for QM2?
I just found your web site as it was posted on a redwork group I belong to. Thanks so very much for your generosity. I understand the time it takes to share. It is especially kind of you to share given you have an online store. I love the patchwork and quilting patterns too. Thanks again

Thanks so much for your free redwork patterns. As a home school mom, finances are so tight and it is wonderful of you to do this so that other folks like me still have the chance for creative pasttimes. I am enjoying your patterns especially the children and animals. Thanks again!
Pattern for the original twist bag?
Thank you for the wonderful patterns.
I love your website.
Hi Gayle,
I just love your site! Your work is fantastic.
Just to let you know that the Free patterns recommendation site for “Quilting-Library.com ” is an advertisement gimmick. I signed up to get free patterns but then the site led me through one ad after another and I felt that I had better keep clicking NO or I would get lots and lots of spam. I did eventually sign off- after about half an hour of one ad after the other and the ads were still coming. Perhaps you should check this out. I don’t want anyone else to go through this.
Thanks!
I would like to know how to get the patterns templates for the week by week 1930’s sampler called Sentimental Stitches
Thanks Gayle for adding me

I was wondering on the Tumbling Triangles if it is possible to sew the two colored blocks together corner to corner and cut diagonally to make some of the blocks? Would the blocks have to be resized?
I have been searching for chicken scratch patterns and came across you web site. I loved the quilt using embroidery for the girls’ bodies and hankies for their skirts… any suggestions for finding patterns for either? Thanks for your help.
I just wanted to thank you for all the free patterns! I’m retired and on a very restricted budget, and your site is perfect. I will be using your online store for my internet purchasing whenever possible. Thanks again!
