I am unable to get to the instructions to the State Fair Quilt from your website. Are they available or did I just not figure out how?

    Thanks, Angelia

    Hi Angelia,

I just tested the links and they worked okay for me. I clicked on “Free Stuff” and then over on the right side, in the list I clicked on “State Fair Sampler”. At the bottom of the quilt picture on that page is a smaller picture of the quilt with only the first four blocks filled in. If you click on the “Blocks 1-4″ a PDF file will open for you to print the patterns off. You do need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer. It’s a free program that you can download if you don’t already have it installed. If you go to the web site listed below you can download the program from there.

Thank you so much for posting these patterns. I have my background for the midget blocks or for this sampler – now have to decide which one to start first. Are you ladies doing these scrappy or all one colour? This will be a good project for those hot days here in the desert!

    Hello

I have been waiting for more blocks of the Midget blocks,State fair blocks, and the Magic Vine blocks. There has not been any added for awhile, I understood by reading that they were to be something posted each month or even every other month but have not seen any added for over 5 months. Do we have to purchase them now?

I was so delighted to find your site. I love the vine quilt and proceeded to cut out two of everything plus a batting for under the flower and leaves and put into ziplocks. I have finished 6 blocks (actually that is only 3 flowers for the two rows. I am looking forward to working on this very much. Thank you for sharing it with all of us. It is going to have a trupunto look, I hope when it is quilted.

Oh, my gosh! I just found this site today, and I have
over 100 items in my wish list, been here over 3 hours and having a great time. My first quilt was made out of real flour sacks and grain sacks my mother in law and i found in the barn! I told her if she helped me wash and cut the sacks, I would make her a quilt. That was Jan 2,1979 I was so happy to give her the quilt at their 50th wedding anniversary party; July 2, 1984.She did not think I would ever complete it, I worked on it
in the car from Kansas to Arkansas to visit and i would try to work on it at least 1 hr each night. It was a sunbonnet sue for every girl in her family and a
sam for every boy surrounding a large tree center block that had the family history from her and his parents down to the last grandbaby born. There are wedding bell blocks for each wedding date,on each persons block is his/her birthday etc. I relive her
shouts of glee each time I remember her surprise when she opened it–and now shes gone it will be my daughters to give to her daughter.I have ever since been a sunbonnet sue fan–and as I search your site for new ideas, shedding a few tears as I find things both she and my mother would love–I find myself needing to thank you for the gift of this site. I downloaded one of your free sue patterns and found myself here! God Bless you and thankyou for the gift of you talent. Terry Shackelford
