Oh, my gosh! I just found this site today, and I have
over 100 items in my wish list, been here over 3 hours and having a great time. My first quilt was made out of real flour sacks and grain sacks my mother in law and i found in the barn! I told her if she helped me wash and cut the sacks, I would make her a quilt. That was Jan 2,1979 I was so happy to give her the quilt at their 50th wedding anniversary party; July 2, 1984.She did not think I would ever complete it, I worked on it
in the car from Kansas to Arkansas to visit and i would try to work on it at least 1 hr each night. It was a sunbonnet sue for every girl in her family and a
sam for every boy surrounding a large tree center block that had the family history from her and his parents down to the last grandbaby born. There are wedding bell blocks for each wedding date,on each persons block is his/her birthday etc. I relive her
shouts of glee each time I remember her surprise when she opened it--and now shes gone it will be my daughters to give to her daughter.I have ever since been a sunbonnet sue fan--and as I search your site for new ideas, shedding a few tears as I find things both she and my mother would love--I find myself needing to thank you for the gift of this site. I downloaded one of your free sue patterns and found myself here! God Bless you and thankyou for the gift of you talent. Terry Shackelford

Currently I am working on Nancy's Magic Vine quilt and loving it. I have two rows of the flowers done. thank you so much. Next I am looking forward to the antique quilt, Flfower Sampler quilt. This is a wonder site for quilters and want to be quilters as well! Hugs, Edna Forbes

I was so delighted to find your site. I love the vine quilt and proceeded to cut out two of everything plus a batting for under the flower and leaves and put into ziplocks. I have finished 6 blocks (actually that is only 3 flowers for the two rows. I am looking forward to working on this very much. Thank you for sharing it with all of us. It is going to have a trupunto look, I hope when it is quilted.
