I found the most wonderful online pattern!

TWIST BAG PATTERN

I just had to make one and then two and to tell you the truth; it’s addictive! The design possibilities are limited only by your imagination.

After I made the first bag I decided to put my own “Twist” on the design. I used fabrics that color blended well and even included a stripe for added interest.

That first “Twist” is pictured here. I have ideas for at least three more versions. I thought it would be fun to share my “Twists” with you.

FIRST TWIST INSTRUCTIONS

I hope you’ll find time to try the design adding your own “Twists”. If you do, let us all know. We’d love to see what you’ve done.

I cant’t wait to start the midget blocks. I also would like a bigger pic of the original quilt or a map of where the blocks go by name. This is going to be so much fun! Thanks, Charlotte

This is simply a darling bag. I made one once and
to make it have a body, we put a Tide box of laundry
soap in it, empty of course to make the walls of bag
sturdy….So u know how long ago that was. This one is so neat. Love the blue one.

Thank you for the pattern. I am a “bag collector”, handbags, tote bags, zipper change purse to match. I love adding pockets to the inside and out so on the reversibles I have pockets on both sides.

Help! I’d like to try your “Twist Bag” - however is this the only pattern I need - or do I have to buy a pattern.

I’d love to try this soon. I have made many of the Schlep bags from your we site.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Where do we get the instructions to make the twist bag from. I don’t seem to be able to get them from your web site. You version on the twist bag refers us to follow the instructions but I can’t seem to find them.

I can’t wait to try this bag!

I also am trying to do the twist bag. I am unable to get the pattern from the Ben Franklins website. I just need to know how to seem together the 8×30.5 stips. Does anyone else have the pattern?

Hi, Gayle. I downloaded your pdf on the twist bag … but am lost. How do I sew the 8×30.5 pieces together? Lengthwise, looks like. Then what? Since fabric appears on the bias, do I sew together as thought I were making bias trim?

The link to the Ben Franklin site is no longer valid.

I adore the shlep bag and traveled around the country using it as a market bag (farmers market), a bag to hold a in process quilt and for the grandkids’ goodies on an outing, Thanks so much!
