Quilting Instructions
This section is for where you’ll find quilting instructions on various topics. These are provided as basic quilting information. There are many excellent books for beginning quilters to learn on their own and most quilt shops offer classes on everything from making templates to binding. Be sure to look for these offerings in your area. I’ve divided the instructions or information charts so you can easily find what you’re looking for. You’ll find them listed at the right hand side of this page.
I’d love to have suggestions for quilting topics you’d like to see included here. You can email me your ideas to me with “Quilting Instructions Ideas” as the subject name. I’ll do my best to provide you with informative, easy to understand instructions.
how do you find your redwork patterns? I cannot access them. thank you
Hi Donna,
When you first visited the site I hadn’t posted the blocks yet. It’s taken me longer than I anticipated to get things organized. There are links to the first two blocks posted now and I’ll keep adding more along with some special, just redwork projects. Click on the “Free Stuff” and then the “Jane’s Redwork” link in the list on the right hand side of the page. Each block is on the next page and when you click on the block, a PDF file will open so you can print off the pattern. You do need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. It’s a free program and you can download it here:

I can not access the instructions for the twist bag. The writing is blocked out.
Also can not find the instructions for the sclhlep bag. The bags are lovely and I would like to start sewing on this project.

Hi,
I want to get started on the Shipshewana Amish quilt but you have never posted fabric requirements and I hesitate to start until I see that. I’ve requested the fabric requirements before but have never heard back from you.
What do we need for this quilt, PLEASE!! I’m dying to start working on it.
