I was hoping to see some actual styles of stitching in your website. It was very informative but I am still searching for the stich styles I discovered on some very old museum quilts last year.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Terri,

You might try the white marking pen by Clover. It's a little expensive but I use it on my applique and like it. The hardest thing to get used to is when you draw the line you can't see it. After about 10 seconds it appears like magic. Here's the one I'm talking about.

I am about to start my very first quilt, and was surfing the internet looking for some hints. I came across your website, am I'm sure glad I did. It's all the little details that beginners need to know BEFORE they run into trouble or buy the wrong tools. Thanks for the wonderfully detailed information. I can't wait to start!

Thank you for writing such percise instructions on hand quilting. I am just now going to do my first hand quilted piece and was wondering about types of threads that work best and of course what size needles. I get it now!! Thanks again. Bonnie
