Just Takes 2™ Schoolhouse Quilt – Block 19
Can you believe we’re almost finished with the 2013 Schoolhouse quilt? It doesn’t seem like it’s been nearly a year since we started. One more block and the borders will make it a quilt! We’ll be done in a month and you’ll have four weeks to rest before the kick off of the 2014 Just Takes 2 quilt. I’ll bet you’re wondering what the quilt is going to look like? Keep reading and I’ll give you a few hints but first let’s take care of today’s block.
The block is a combination of half square triangles and flying geese units. Nothing too difficult but quite a few seams coming together. I probably could have done a better job matching my points!
If you missed out on the 2012 Just Takes 2 quilt, you have until midnight tonight to take advantage of the special Halloween treat we have for you. You can get the complete set of patterns for 30% off by entering the discount code TREAT during checkout. In fact, you can use the discount code on any of the digital patterns in the online store.
The Just Takes 2 web site will be getting a makeover in the next couple of months so don’t be surprised if you visit and the site is down. Several things need upgrading and we want to make it easier for you to navigate. We also want to give it a look to reflect the new quilt! We will preserve all the great pictures you’ve uploaded while working on your quilts though. We wouldn’t want to lost those – you do beautiful work!
Brenda and I will be visiting the 2014 quilt in a couple of weeks. We’ll be taking lots of pictures to share with you. It’s all about the details! Here’s a few hints –
- The quilt is safely protected within a museum in the tri-state area around Michigan
- There are more than two colors in the quilt
- It has been published in a book but we won’t tell you exactly which one just yet
We’ll have lots more info for you in the coming weeks and hope you’ll join us for a fun project with lots of surprises! For now, here’s today’s Schoolhouse quilt block.
