Quilting Tips & Techniques

This section is for where you’ll find quilting tips sent in by other readers for the rest of us to read and learn from. If you have found a simple, easy way to do something please share it with us. I’ll organize them by topic so they’re easy to find. You’ll find the catagories in the list to the right.

You can email me the tips to me with “Quilting Tips & Techniques” as the subject name. I will only copy the text of the tip to the page unless you tell me I may use your name. I’ll add tips as I come across them and we’ll have a wealth of information before we know it. Start sending those tips in!

I love the redwork block of the month. but cannot seem to get 106, 112 because the numbers are cut off on my screen. could you move the layout of the numbers/patterns or email them to me?

I’ve just downloaded your “sherbert” pattern. you say that you need so many “fat quarters” of the green and orange, what size do you mean by fat quarters? I’m new to quilting and have looked around your site for a definition but can’t find one….thanks :) LOVE the pattern.

Fat quarters are pieces of fabric cut 18″ x 22″.
