Storage

  • Use 2 gallon zip lock bags to store projects, UFOs and Block of the Month sets. They are large, strong and you can see through them.

I go one step further…I use 2.5 gallon bags when I have a very large amount of fabric for a quilt. I also put the pattern in a plastic sleeve, that goes in the bag as well. PLUS they are reusible for another project.

I had heard that the worst thing we could do was store our quilts and fabric in plastic bags. The idea was that the fabric could not breath and that the plastic could badly affect the dyes in the fabric. Am I wrong?
