Back In The Groove ?

It seems like ages since I've written an real update for the site. We're getting back in the groove of things around here. It was a busy Christmas and New Years filled with family, friends and fantastic foods!

We've also spent some time paying our respects to one of our own - President Gerald R. Ford. I have never experienced anything like the nearly weeklong tribute that took place here in Grand Rapids. The annual Christmas quilt exhibit was on display at the Ford Museum when the president passed away. They immediately closed the museum and hustled around taking down quilts and putting into motion plans that had been in place for many years. The enormous outpouring of love and support for the President and his family made me pretty proud of my hometown.

If you'd like to see more pictures of the events through our eyes, you can visit the Ford Funeral Pictures posted on the web site of our local NBC television station.

In honor of President Ford, I found a great pattern over at McCall's Quilting called "A Nation's Pride" It just seemed fitting........... Click on the name to download the pattern.

I learned a long time ago not to make New Years resolutions but I am going to try to write these notes a little more often. Right now it's time to answer all of your questions waiting patiently in my Inbox. If you don't hear from me in the next couple of days please let me know.

Have you checked out the new web site Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson are working on? You're going to love The Quilt Show! More on that later.............
