Shipshewana Day 1

I didn't get the early start I planned on this morning. It seems there's always some last minute things I should have done over the weekend. Then there's Clutch who goes into panic mode the minute he sees a suitcase come out of the closet. It's a little difficult to pack when everything I nicely lay in the suitcase is twisted and turned into a bed for the little guy trying to stow away inside.

Arriving in Shipshewana at 4:45 PM is like torture. The stores all close at 5:00 PM but I did have a really nice dinner at the Blue Gate Restaurant. I took my time unloading the car. Yes, this is what it looks like when leaving for a retreat. Packed solid, front to back.

I'm now resting comfortably in my room at the Farmstead Inn.

Nothing too exciting or quilt-worthy to share with you. Just wait until tomorrow. I'm off to Lolly's in the morning and we'll set up in the sewing room at 3:00 PM. Let the fun begin!
