When Life Gets In The Way

It seems like just yesterday I was driving home voiceless from Shipshewana. It's pretty much a blur after that. The 'bug' that took my voice has been one of the nastiest ones I've had in years. I'm still coughing and beginning to think this will never end. Yes, I've been to the doctor and he said things are fine but I'll be glad when this is gone.

We've celebrated Rob's birthday, our wedding anniversary, and been to a Kenny Chesney concert which was wonderful by the way. It's become an annual event for my sister-in-law and I. Not sure how Grand Rapids is so lucky to have Kenny do two shows here every year but we sure like it.

The next few days were spent packing boxes, bags and crates for the summer switch. Can you tell who's afraid they'll be left behind?

I'm at the lake for the summer and even though it took me 20 minutes to find my fancy little computer storage thing with our block scans on it, I'm sure I'll be organized in the next few days. Who am I kidding? Clutch is resting a little easier just knowing he's here.

I pulled the Scrappy Sherbet quilt from his bed for washing. I had forgotten how cheery it was so it's Clutch's loss for the time being. The temperatures are still cool here and the sun isn't shining as much as I'd like so we just wrap up in our own little bit of sunshine.

Thanks for your patience the last few weeks. I've got everyone's email in my inbox and will answer you all this week. Fixing file problems, giving sashing measurements and posting some of the more difficult Midgets are all on my list. I brought the top with me so maybe I'll take some extra pictures of blocks.
