I'm not Irish but did put on the green before coming to work today. I also overslept, well actually, I didn't set the alarm last night and woke up an hour late so it's my own fault.
Sunshine's Creations loves yoyos of all kinds as much as I do. She put together a really cute tutorial on her blog to make a Yoyo Shamrock. She started with the yoyo hearts on Penny Sanford's blog and took off from there.
Here's our block for today:
hello Gayle,
I am getting into this more that I ever thought I would!![perhaps it’s time for me to try a crazy quilt?] I am starting motif #5 and I am getting the hang of how the stitches should look and also how to go around a corner and may have to do #1 again as I did it with three strands of dmc…it looks too bulky so now I am using 2 strands which shows off the details in the pattern much better…I have shortened my stitches by half and am pleased with the results…now to get the colonial knot to not “come un-done” and I will be happy….is there a trick to them that a novice wouldn’t think of?Love the tea pot and the bunny of yesterday!!
Love the teapot!! Needs a touch of Gold and ivy in kelly green.
Thanks for that hymn yesterday–really made yesterday seem special, as it should.
thanks for all the neat motifs. I too love hand embroidery.
