The First Day of Spring

While it still doesn't seem like spring around here and we have a chance of lake effect snow today I'm glad it's officially here. I think if I have a break at work today I'll go try on a the brightly colored, comfy sundress I saw at the shop across the street.

I can't believe we're already at the 20th of the month with our Motifs of March. Each day I have a difficult time choosing what to post for you. Are there any special requests? Email me with your suggestions. I may not be able to answer each individual email right now because of my schedule but I do want to post designs that will make you smile.

I posted two blocks on the page for today because of their size. I'll try to work on a enlargement/reduction chart today you can use on a copy machine to change the block to the size you need. It's really a simple formula and once you've memorized it and have a calculator there's no limit to what you can do.

I hope the sun is shining where you are today. Happy Spring Stitches everyone!

Good Morning from western PA — kind of windy here today. I can’t wait to see the quilt we will be making with the designs and also the amish quilt.
If you have any “small motifs to make pin cushions or ornaments — or something for a front of a needle case or a sewing case, if that would help you.
Thank you for all the designs and your time.
    Really enjoy your site.

    Happy Easter

    Hi Gayle,
Hello Gayle you wonder woman!!you asked for suggestions/help on motifs for march and after much thought about spring, maybe a daffodil, tulip or trillium? my narsisus and hyasinth[sp] are coming up and the cherry trees here are blooming as well so maybe a flowering branch? I am on block #8, steaming right ahead and enjoying your patterns throughly. It’s so nice to have something to do in the evenings while listening to the TV with the hubby[I listen to TV alot, lol]. Perhaps a raggety ann would be nice too[I am such a fan of rag dolls!] keep up the good work!1 I love everything you do!!

    Hi Gayle,
Do you have any designs that have a dutch girl or boy? Maybe a windmill or a shoe?

    Thanks for all you do!
