There’s No Place Like Home

Clutch and I are in Grand Rapids and mighty glad to be here. We left Traverse City last night on dry roads knowing we were driving toward an area under a Winter Storm Warning. I figured I had dry roads with no snow for about 75 miles so following my son Kevin's advise, I didn't look at the speedometer and drove the Jeep at 2500 rpm until I hit the bad weather. The one time I did glance over I was well over 85 mph. Oh my gosh!
Just as I expected, the sleet started at Reed City and within the length of a couple of football fields I had slowed to 60 mph. The further south I drove the worse it got and 35-40 mph was as fast as I felt comfortable driving. I was very happy to be backing in the driveway safe and sound. Clutch slept peacefully on my lap the entire way home.

I missed posting this weeks Midget block so I'll make it up to you with two blocks on Monday.

I'm off to get groceries for tomorrow's Easter dinner. Have a wonderful day.
