Red, White & You! – Midget Block 125 – Tribute to Betty Ford

Former first lady Betty Ford was laid to rest last week. She along with her husband, formerPresident Gerald Ford were from Grand Rapids, Michigan (my hometown) and are both now buried there at the Gerald R. Ford Museum.

I was in Grand Rapids when former President Ford was laid to rest and waited in line with many other to pay my respects. I'm in Traverse City for the summer so I couldn't pay my respects in person for the passing of Betty but felt a Midget Block in her honor was the least I could do. This Red, White & You Midget Block is called Betty's Choice. I hope you'll enjoy making it.

July 20th is always a difficult day for me and this year marks the tenth anniversary of my Dad's passing. We're sweltering under blistering heat not too different from the year he died but it's a bit more bearable for Clutch and I being in one of his favorite places. I miss you Daddy.............
