Just Takes 2â„¢ Quilt – June 15 Blocks and What’s New

The days are just flying by for Clutch and I here at the cottage. There seems to be so much to do and so little time. Today is a particularly busy one. It's not only a Just Takes 2 day but there are some new things in the Online Store and I have family arriving in a couple of hours for the weekend.

I better get right to today's Just Takes 2 blocks. There are four blocks this time but you'll be making one of them twice so you could say there are only three.

Block 43

Block 44 and Block 45

Block 46

There really isn't anything too difficult about any of the blocks. I'll admit to cheating a little on the propeller on my planes. I connected the two pieces by widening the center to about 1/8" and appliqued it as one piece. The center of that little cutie is 5/8" down from the raw edge of your pieced block.

There's a new pattern in the Online Store today along with some cute little charms I came across while packing to come up here.

Sunbeam Babies

"These are just about the cutest "babies" I have seen, with their old-fashioned dresses and bonnets with ruffles." Those are the words Ruby Hinson Duncan used to describe these adorable 1902 little Sunbeam Babies. The twelve blocks are for use on 8" or larger quilt blocks. Patterns are full size and ready to use.
I agree with Ruby and think they are adorable. I hope you'll like them too! You can see the charms in the Special Gifts section.

Time to head over to Dear Jane and get today's blocks. Have a great weekend everyone and I'll be back next week with an update on the Sunshine Quilt!
