It's a sunny but chilly day in Michigan. I've been out a few times with the dogs and soaked in all the vitamin D that I could. You can tell spring is almost around the corner. We were looking at the extended forecast in hopes we could make a trip to the cottage in the near future.
Who's ready for some easy peasy blocks??? I took a look at this months blocks and just knew you'd be excited to see them too. If you're a little behind this should give you time to catch up. I'm posting them a day early since tomorrow is Sunday and I plan to do a little stitching and watch the Nascar race.
Block 54
Here's our large block for this month. Pink and blue - what a pretty combination. I just love this block and even with all of those pieces, it's rotary cut and machine pieced.
Block 55
It doesn't get much easier than this!!! Grab a nice tan plaid and a maroon print. I call these burgundy indigos stashed away for a special project. I'm not sure that's the correct name for these prints but I sure do like them.
Block 56
Two different pink textured fabrics and a black mourning print were used for this block. If you're looking to practice half square triangles, this is the block for you. These are small ones but this block is so cute when sewn together.
Block 57
What an interesting mix of fabric and design. A pretty black print, sweet paisley, plaid flannel and ...............a fussy cut flower in the center. Rotary cut and machine piece the block and find the perfect floral center.
Block 58
More burgundy indigo and a black shirting print were used in this classic star block. If I had to make only one block for the rest of my quilting days, this star would be right at the top of the list.
See..............I told you they were easy and all great blocks too. Have fun this month and I'll see you on April Fool's Day!
