Ella Maria Deacon Quilt – Month 15

Advertisements:

I want to start by wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! This is a year where we may feel like there's not much to be thankful for but we really do have so much.

It's been a busy month for me and I'm sorry the blocks are late this month. Let's get right to them!

Block 57

attributed to: Elizabeth Busby 1841

A mostly pieced block. You'll rotary cut and machine piece the majority of the block while appliqueing the partial circles in the center.

Block 58

attributed to: Emily C Coles 1841

Another pieced block with a sweet star in the center. Templates have been provided for the star because the math didn't work out like I would have liked.

Block 59

attributed to: Sarah Elizabeth Horner 1842

This block is nearly the same but with a different star in the center. It seemed like a good idea to get these both out of the way at one time.

Block 60

attributed to: Benson(?) Kemble 1841

This is such an interesting, yet simple block. Begin with a nine patch and add a little border and you've got something special. Mostly rotary cut with one template you'll have this one done quickly.
