Unit 21
Well I finished another unit. I worked hard getting it finished with everything coming up, I didn’t want to get behind. I came up short on block 88???? I had to add a small strip to the sides. I was so bummed but decided it would be ok to leave. Not sure if I am doing any embroidery on this set. If I do it will be later. Happy sewing and happy day

I am still way behind as I pack my bags to go to India for 3 weeks. I am taking a few applique blocks to work on in spare time. I will miss the next unit but plan to get at completing as many blocks as I can before the end of the year. One of my hindrances has been colour choice as I am trying to mix up the different colours.

Your blocks look nice. I’ve started this set and block 88 gave me trouble also. I finished it and it was 1/4 inch off. I considered trimming it but that would have messed up some points. I took it apart and re-did it. It’s done, right size but I’m not very happy with it. I still have one more block of this set to do. I’m adding tatting to 2 of the blocks..
Wow! Adding tatting! I have been trying to learn tatting for sometime. Have purchased books to teach myself, but not able to get the hang of it. Any suggestions on how to learn this art?
