March 1st Blocks
When I began this quilt I told myself I had to do the blocks in order. Well, I’ve blown that. I still have 3 leaves to applique to finish February’s blocks and now I have the March 1st blocks finished. It started innocently enough — I needed some mindless piecing with results Thursday night — so I did the geese and the square in a square block. Friday evening and today I’ve worked on the Feathered Star. It may not be perfect, but I’m glad I’ve made one. I don’t see a quilt of these in my future — unless it’s huge! Now to get those 3 leaves appliqued so I can post the rest of February’s blocks.

Beautiful star!!! And flying geese and block, too

Gorgeous! Hoping to finish mine today.
Your feathered star block looks great.
Your blocks are lovely. Now you have time to finish your applique while many of us are finishing the March 1 blocks. I have the square in square, 1 strip of geese and part of the feathered star done. The feathered star is a challenge due to its complexity.
I’ve made four feathered star blocks as wedding gits with 12 blocks in each quilt…..now do I have one feathered star anything for myself? Not until now :0)
Happy Sewing,
Kim
oops meant to say feather star Quilts not blocks :0)
