It’s almost a year since the instructions for Part A assembly were published, but that appliques does take me quite some time! Have done a fair number of Part B blocks, and I’m really enjoying the process. Have been thinking about the quilting, and think it will be partly free-motion echo quilted on my recently acquired frame (no computerized machine, and not a long-arm – yet!). After many mind-changes I’ve settled on a range of purples and off-whites. Have a daughter who loves purple, and this will be for her. Plenty of purples, but a bit short of off-whites, will supplement during the year. And because white is out of my comfort zone, I think I will do one in reds and greens (my origins are Welsh!).

What a wonderful idea. I was in awe of the pictures of that exhibition last March! Thank-you for putting this project together. I am looking forward to seeing what other participants create. I want to use fabric that I already have (lots, but which are mostly less than a yard), so some creative thinking is in order! I think it may be green and black, but not sure this will give enough contrast – will try it for the first month. Karen.
