after long long brake…

uh oh…. 🙂 here I am… as I’m a beginer in quilting, I should do some extra practice before I at least return to this project. but I’m so happy I’m here again! I have to make a lot of blocks yet… yes… but I hope now it will easier!
thank you all!

  1. These blocks look great Doing each block is a learning experience – even for us “oldsters”. Keep at it!

    • thank you! yes, each block is new challenge for me 🙂 but it’s interesting!

  2. Let this project be your extra practice. Some of the blocks are so simple and you can make several in a day. I was also behind as I was completing my masters and am almost all caught up now. I will be taking 2 applique blocks with me as I travel to New Brusnwick to spend a week with my daughter who is learning quilting.
Also, this appears to be the kind of project that if you do not do ALL the blocks, you can still put together SOME of the blocks into a smaller quilt.

    • Chris, thank you so much for your comment! you know, I was absolutely new in paper-piecing. now I see that some blocks are really easy! yes, and this is very good practice. (and if to be honest I’m thinking about smaller quilt or several 🙂 )

      • I started paper piecing on the 4 1/2 inch Dear jane blocks and believe me, these JT2 blocks are a lot easier.

  3. Boy o Boy. You sure can’t tell your a beginner. Your blocks are great!. Welcome to the world of frustration and accomplishment. Thats the way I look at it. I too get so discouraged but then when i see it I love them. A lot of great people on this site. They will inspire you totally. Good luck and don’t give up. Your doing great!

    • Betty, thank you so much for your words! yes, maybe I’m not “very” beginner.. I do it since January 🙂 almost 5 monthes! so sure I have learned some things (I hope).. yes, this site has a great inspiration for me and I’m proud to be a little part of it…
      thank you!
