Caught Up — At Last !!
I got behind because so many of the blocks were paper pieced. I don’t like paper piecing and I’m not very good at it. But, after a few internet searches for helpful hints and a few trial runs, I just did it. The blocks all turned out OK, even if they are not perfik. The feathered star was fun — everything doesn’t match exactly, but it looks good. So, roll on March 15th — I’m ready!!

Is that a butterfly in the center of the feathered star?
Yes, a friend bought a package of die-cut butterflies some time ago and gave me the green one because I love lime green. It sat on my design wall waiting and waiting, until along came the feathered star, with an empty centre. I appliqued it on and embroidered the antenae. It looks quite happy to finally have a home.

Thank you, Ursula. The background is actually a deep wine colour; unfortunately, my camera doesn’t capture it very well. Even the block that looks blue is actually blue with a lime green print. I’m calling this one “My Wine and Lime Quilt”.
