Serendipity

I absolutely LOVED this block!!! So much so that I plan to use it again. I did adjust the lines slightly to make them flow around the knots more smoothly. I cut it out as a paper cut with freezer paper, sprayed a bit of 505 spray adhesive on the back to secure it to the background then traced around the design with an ultimate marking pencil. Then I removed the freezer paper and needle turned it. So satisfying. I do find the backbasting technique awkward when removing the basting every couple of stitches and when using glue on the freezer paper it is often stiff to stitch through. The arthritic fingers are not happy with that.

  1. Pretty block!

  2. Nicely done! I still have that one to get to.
