Sophie’s “Take” in Indigos and Shirtings

I’ve been collecting indigo fabrics for a while and have considered MANY projects for them. Until yesterday, I never got as far as cutting any of them … I was surprised how easy it was once I decided.

I haven’t (yet) added any stitching. I initially thought the print background would be too busy. After the blocks were made, I started re-thinking that notion and will likely add stitch patterns to the blocks later.

Thank you Gail for referencing the quilts in the Infinite Variety exhibit. I plan to check my photos from the show later to see if I happened to capture the quilts that grabbed your imagination.
