Nearly Slept The Day Away

The Blue Gate as I was arriving last night.
Sewed until after midnight but didn't finish what I wanted.
Brenda and I slept in until 11 this morning. Yikes!
She's off setting up the retreat room and I'm staying here to finish
block 2 of the Cherry quilt.
Cool and rainy but the Janes are pouring in.

Beyond The Cherry Trees Block 2

Advertisements:

I'm behind in posting the pattern for block 2 of Beyond The Cherry Trees.
I purposely chose what I thought would be a simple block for November because it's a busy month and we have the Thanksgiving holiday.
So much for great plans!

Here's part of my "to do" list -

  • Draft and clean up the Nov. Beyond The Cherry Trees block done
  • Find the hidden stitches in the Nov. block and stitch them done
  • Finish the current Round Robin I'm working on
  • Stitch 42 three inch blocks for our "Friday at 11" swap at the Dear Jane Retreat

Did I mention I'm leaving for Shipshe in the morning to attend the Dear Jane Retreat starting on Wednesday? Well, I am. I definitely am!!! I have some fun surprises planned if you've followed the retreat reports before.

Back to the list -

  • Finish laundry and pack clothes for the retreat partly done
  • Decide on sewing projects and pack supplies
  • Clean up my "nest piles" around the house

Oh heck, you guys get the idea! Had to prioritize and at 11:44PM the block will have to wait until tomorrow night when I'm resting at the Farmstead Inn.
Until then, a couple of sneak peeks.

The entire family has become quite attached to what they call "The Cherry Quilt" but especially Clutch. He has adopted the quilt as his own and isn't too keen on sharing it with anyone.
