Heartfelt Block of the Week

Sign up to make this classic quilt inspired by a circa 1860 antique quilt. Almost all of the blocks are pieced but I'm adding a touch of applique now and then.

The antique quilt was indigo blue and white but my heart sang when I saw the upcoming Roselyn fabric collection by Minnick and Simpson. I'll be using those fabrics to make my quilt and am starting with a fat quarter bundle.

Don't worry if red and white isn't your style because I designed this quilt so everyone can use their favorite fabrics to create a Heartfelt quilt in a style all their own! Reproductions - 1930s - Scrappy - Tula Pink or Kaffe - they'll all work!

To answer some questions you may have -

This quilt is a bit of a surprise or mystery quilt if you want to call it that because I'm not showing you the blocks ahead of time. The layout is pictured below. I'll email the supply list within a week of your sign-up date.

We'll be making eight-inch blocks. Some weeks you'll make one block and some weeks you'll make more than one of that week's block. The blocks are easy enough for new quilters and challenging enough to make the experienced quilter smile. I've decided to work on happy, cheerful projects during 2021 and want this to be fun and something you look forward to each week.My Facebook Groups have always been amazing at helping each other whenever there's a question or someone wants an opinion so I encourage everyone to join if you're not already a member!

Patterns will be emailed directly to you each Friday beginning on February 12. You'll receive an email each Friday for the next 30 weeks.  We'll be finished in time to have your quilt ready for the holidays if you want.

If you'd like to use the same fabrics I'll be using you can see them on the Moda website - HERE

The fabric collection is - Roselyn by Minnick and Simpson - available February 2021
