Sentimental Stitches

The three position chest x-ray was a piece of cake compared to the hour long MRI. It wasn't really that bad. There sure was a lot of clanging and banging despite wearing ear plugs. No soothing music for me because of the focus on my head and neck. I probably won't hear anything for 4 or 5 days and am determined not to spend my time worrying.

Our late night drive went pretty good. We followed two county officers for about 90 miles on the highway. They were traveling at a steady 83 mph so a little caravan of about 4 vehicles trailed behind them. They didn't seem to mind but I wonder what example that sets on a highway with a 70 mph speed limit.

Back to work this morning - here's today's block.

I had my blood test this morning and right after lunch will be the chest x-ray. The MRI isn't scheduled until 7 PM tonight so unless they have a cancellation during the day, we'll be driving back up north in the dark tonight. Good thing I can make the trip on auto pilot.

Today's block is another water lily. As a little girl I thought they were the yucky yellow ones. The turtles always seemed to like them. We've had two water lily blocks now. Makes me wonder if Sally lived near a lake or was remembering a place from her childhood.

I hope you have a wonderful day today. Please take a moment to say a prayer for all of those who have given their lives protecting our freedom and those serving now in the armed forces. We owe them a debt of gratitude we can never repay.

I'm driving home after work today. Tomorrow I'm scheduled for some blood work, chest x-ray, mammogram MRI and having a tooth filled. I've been suffering from a nagging numbness in my left arm and hand. Time to find out what's going on inside.

I uploaded a Midget block yesterday and it looks just like Block 7 (The Depot). I haven't taken a look at all that but will try to straighten it out tonight sometime.

I'm driving back to TC tomorrow night for work on Wednesday morning. Tight schedule - no room for errors. Wish me luck.
