On The Road Again

Advertisements:

I'm in Traverse City tonight but will be back on the road to Grand Rapids tomorrow afternoon to cook dinner and celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with my family.

I've uploaded this months patterns for the State Fair Sampler and Nancy Page Club Magic Vine Quilt. I'll try to get the Midget Block uploaded before I go to bed tonight but it's way after midnight so it's not likely until tomorrow. For those of you doing the Just For Baby quilt it's going to be a few days before I get those finished.

I'll be back in Traverse City on Friday to work and join in welcoming Santa to town. There's also the tree lighting and caroling in the evening.

I've never seen a tree planted in a manhole right in the middle of the street but that's what they've done downtown. It's just across the street from the shop so we'll be able to enjoy it every day. I love all the sparkle and magic of Christmas. I've been dreaming about a white feather tree since I saw one in a store in Shipshe. I've got to call the Christmas shop and see if they have any.

If you'd like to see more pictures from the Dear Jane Retreat in Shipshewana, Kim Andrews from Minnesota has uploaded more of here Show 'N Tell pictures. She did a wonderful job getting photos of the quilts.

Home or Almost Home

Made my way safely to Grand Rapids yesterday afternoon and am leaving for Traverse City in a few minutes. I need to be at work this afternoon so posting the Midget Block and working on 'tutes' will have to wait until tonight. I did upload more pictures to the Flickr file so there's something interesting to look at. More retreat pictures and 'tute' photos of my pillowcase. It was so much fun I might make another one just to take better pictures. All those stripes on the ironing board and on the pillowcase make me kind of dizzy.

Clutch is glued to my side and I spent most of last night reassuring him that every time I moved didn't mean I was leaving.
Until tonight..........

That's how we all feel today. Knowing we have to return to the reality of life tomorrow always makes us a little crazy. It's Chocolate Day here in Shipshewana too so can you envision all of us buzzing around, filled with chocolate, and trying to make the most of our last day here?

I know I'm feeling that way so this is going to be short and sweet as my list of things to do is long. I've uploaded some pictures to the Flickr album so click on the banner to the right, take a look and I'll explain later.

Show 'n Tell was fantastic as always. I wasn't in the best place for pictures so I hope someone else uploads to one of their online albums. As soon as I locate any I'll let you know.

I'm off to Yoder's!
