Shipshewana – Dear Jane Retreat – Show and Tell

Advertisements:

I didn't have the best seat in the house but it was pretty good and I tried to get pictures of as many quilts from show and tell as I could. I let them process together while taking my shower this morning and thought you'd enjoy seeing them. Nothing fancy or edited because it's our last day here and I have a shopping list! I can't go home without frosted sugar cookies from the Blue Gate for DH who took the week off to cuddle Clutch and Zoe for me while I was gone. I've got my coat on and I'm out the door...........enjoy!

Almost forgot......It's Clutch's official birthday today - he's 9 years old and I'm feeling a bit guilty about not being there but knowing him he'll forgive me. Don't forget to get today's Sally Post Floral Sampler block too!

Shipshewana – Day 3 – The Antique Mall

Advertisements:

I walked and walked and walked today. Almost reached my goal of 10,000 steps! The vendors have been working hard over the winter to fill their booths at the antique mall with the most wonderful things. There was so much too see I'm going to have to go back again tomorrow (looking at the clock it's already tomorrow!). My ankle was almost too sore to take in the 2nd floor so it only got a quick walk through. More serious study is required. I hope you enjoy the sights - I'm gonna get some sleep!

Shipshewana Eye Candy – Day 2

Advertisements:

The sewing room opened today at 3:00PM and I've actually put together two blocks already. Woohoo! Not breaking any records here. I came back to the room to watch Nashville on television and upload today's pictures from my shopping trip to Yoder Department Store. I think you'll love the wonderful variety of things you can find all in one store and once again if there's something you see that you like all you need to do is call the store and ask for the fabric department. They'll be happy to find it for you.

It's a long hallway when you first walk in the door. The hardware and a new restaurant are on the right and the fabric, clothes, shoes and household things are on the left.

Nancy works in the fabric department. She picks out all the beautiful fabrics and so much more!

I don't mind admitting I'm a little tired tonight and ate too much for dinner. I had taco pizza followed by frosted cinnamon bread sticks. Both were wonderful! I'll get some sleep and be back out shopping in the morning. I think a visit to the Antique Mall is a good idea and I want to go back to Yoder's for some flannel. It's been quite a while since I wanted to make a flannel quilt, especially with summer coming but the collection of fabric I saw really inspired me. I need to head back to Lolly's Cuddle Corner and have them cut me a kit for another cuddle quilt. The new colors just scream "make me for the cottage". I show you a picture tomorrow.
