Midget Eye Candy

I took some close-up pictures of a few blocks in the antique Week by Week Sampler quilt. I thought you might enjoy seeing the fabrics, stitching and embroidery. I'm constantly amazed at the small size of the pieces and the fact the entire top is hand pieced. Some of these block patterns have been posted and others we haven't done yet.

Can you tell I haven't pressed the top in a long time? It's stored in it's very own special cotton bag.

Just look at the tiny hand stitching on the back of these blocks.

How did your blocks like these turn out?

I wondered about all the extra embroidery around this block and decided if I had made that one it would have been necessary to cover my seams and force the block to lie flat.

Doesn't this one look like fun?

Anyone know the name of this pink and green block? It's a mystery to me. I've drafted it by hand once but am not happy with it so I'll head to EQ6 and see if I can do better.

Look at these tiny hexagons? Hand piece? English Paper Piece? They measure about 1/4" each.
