Quilters and chocolate seem to go together like Easter and bunnies. I'm putting them all together in today's motif.
I have found a great way to justify having a few of my favorite chocolates every day. Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries. Dark chocolate - good for your heart! Cherries - good for you! How can I go wrong? If you'd like to try my favorite, you'll want to visit Cherry Republic. They have stores in Traverse City and Glen Arbor but you can order right from their web site. The Cherry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake is also something I have to treat myself to once in a while. I cut it in individual size pieces and freeze them so I'm not tempted to eat it all in a week.

Back On The Highway

Clutch and I have to head back to TC today so we can be at work bright and early tomorrow morning. We changed to daylight savings time last night and my body clock is messed up. It'll probably take me about a week to adjust. Is that another one of those middle age things? More and more of those things keep sneaking up on me.
Are you watching for Katinka to change from black and white to color? Remember, those designs will be used in a project you can start later this month.
I Met The Girls

When Clutch and I arrived Thursday night Rob and Kevin were waiting for us. There were warm hugs and kisses along with a lot of face licking, tail wagging and even a little piddling because Clutch was so happy to be home. Paul came over later in the evening making our family complete. His friend Angela was with him so I was able to meet someone I had only heard about through phone calls and text messages.
We had a nice dinner last night. No birthday cake this year, I tried to replicate the Blondie dessert Kevin likes at Applebee's restaurant. I'm sure how well I did considering how much everyone teased me but aside from putting too much sauce on each serving I thought it was pretty darn good.
We were pleasantly surprised by the arrival of Kevin's friend Nicole. I hadn't met her yet either so I feel like I hit the jackpot in the last couple of days. Both boys are seeing such nice, beautiful young ladies. I hope they'll both be able to spend time in Traverse City this summer so we can get to know them better.
Now on to your eighth block.
