Friday in Shipshewana

Advertisements:

It was a wonderful day in Shipshewana! I made my way around town picking up a few Christmas presents and a little fabric here and there. I visited Rebecca Haarer Arts & Antiques for a little of both. I hope you'll enjoy taking a look around inside her shop.

I've made more than one trip to Yoder's since I've been in town. You just never know what you'll find inside. Here's just a smidgen of what's inside their doors.

That's it for today. It's the last day of our retreat so there's lots to do. I'll share more pictures next week when I'm home and have a little more time to organize them. Until then........

A Little Walk Through Lolly’s

Advertisements:

When I arrive in Shipshewana for the retreat it always seems like I've allowed myself plenty of time to do all the things I'd like to do while I'm here but somehow.........someone make the clock move faster than it normally does and I'm running out of time!

I stayed in this morning and quickly put together some pictures I took during a walk though Lolly's Fabrics on Wednesday. When I have time I'll go back and add some nice listening music for you but for today I hope you'll take a minute to sit, relax and enjoy the eye candy!

Today I'm going to take a walk through Yoder's and Rebecca's. I'll get those pictures posted as soon as I can so stay tuned!

Just Takes 2â„¢ Quilt – November 15 Blocks

Advertisements:

I'm writing this from the Dear Jane Quilt Retreat in Shipshewana, Indiana. I arrived around lunch time on Tuesday and it's been almost non stop shopping, eating and stitching since I arrived. As a quilter you can't ask for a better place to be than Shipshewana!

Brenda has seven blocks for you over at Dear Jane today! You're going to be busy but it's a great combination of designs including the signature block for the Just Takes 2 quilt.

Block 89

This is our signature block. Isn't it sweet? Brenda and I both loved the ring of leaves. It just seemed like the perfect place to sign your quilt. I've embroidered mine and you can purchase a set of 14 different alphabet styles to choose from and create your own signature. You can use your full name or do a monogram style signature.

Block 90

I had so much fun making this block I think I could easily do a whole quilt using this block.

Block 91

The basket, the basket! This is one of our favorites. The applique is a bit challenging but worth the effort.

Block 94

Wouldn't this Double Nine Patch make a great scrap quilt?
