It's October - it's freakin' October! Where did the year go? I feel like I'm so far behind in all the things I wanted to accomplish and my days are numbered here at Mickey Lake. I'll be leaving for home in just a month! This year more than most I have mixed feelings about all that. There's so much I'd like to get done here before the end of the year but.......
the leaves are changing colors and I've got lots of projects and plans waiting for me at home so I'm a bit excited about all of those things too. It helps balance out the sadness of saying goodbye for the winter.
Today is a Just Takes 2 day and the little star in this block is one of my favorites!
The block is easy to construct with rotary cutting and sewing connector corners for the triangles. The pattern has a full size block drawing you could use for hand piecing or even foundation paper piecing if you wanted to. Be sure to head over to Dear Jane to see Brenda's block. Every couple of weeks I drool over her beautiful blocks made in Kaffe Fassett fabrics.
I hope you enjoy the changing of seasons no matter where you live. If you didn't get this morning's email with all the free Halloween patterns in it just enter Halloween in the search box of the sidebar and you should be able to find them.
