I'm making my Cabot Cuties blocks with Kaffe Fassett fabrics on a pretty white-on-white background. I can't tell you how sweet and happy these little blocks are. They're so much fun to work on!
When I first saw this applique quilt I know I gasped. It was one of those quilts I really, really wanted but knew it just wasn't practical to even think I should purchase it. What's the next best thing? Make one yourself! That's what I'm going to do except I'm putting my own twist on it.
I will admit to having a weakness for fabric and I own more than my share so I'm going to work only from my stash for this quilt. I'll be mixing all kinds of reds and all kinds of greens and whatever else looks good in a block. The only constant I have is my background fabric and you could mix that up too if you wanted.

This block is really quick and easy to piece. You'll have it together in no time at all. In a couple of weeks (Dec. 1) I'll have the instructions for the border and finishing. You'll have an entire month to get ready and plan for the 2014 quilt!
