We're on our third Red, White & You! block. This one is one of the easier blocks. If you're trying to make the blocks each day I thought you could use a little extra time to catch up on the applique from yesterday's block.
It's another chilly day here. Clouds, drizzle, wind and the furnace kicking on to heat the cottage. Summer where are you? It does make for a good day to settle in at the sewing machine and stitch.
Take a look at today's block from antique quilt. This one is constructed using fabrics you'd normally use for sewing clothing and not with cottons used for quilts. The background appears to be linen and the Double T fabric is a silky fabric that looks like silk dupioni. A true block from the scrap basket!
Here's my red and white block. Using the foundation pattern it went together easily. This one is a classic 1930s pattern. I hope you enjoy it.
