We're on month 12 already! When you finish this month's blocks you should have 48. Great job if you've been keeping up. Here are this month's blocks.
Block 45
attributed to: Anne Marie Coles / Gloucester
You can hand or machine piece this block. I'd opt for hand piecing because of the angles. Overall, not too difficult but there are quite a few pieces to keep track of.
Block 46
attributed to: Lydia R.Deacon
Okay Lydia, you get a ribbon for this block! This one is going to be a challenge and I can't wait to see what everyone does. The red and green pieces in the outer ring look like they were cut from a medium to large scale print so you get the variation in the pieces. Have fun!
Block 47
attributed to: Susan B. Haines / Rancocas
Your pattern is going to look different yet similar to the antique block. I couldn't bear to squiggle and squash this one into odd shapes so we're making ours a little different. You'll piece the sun together and then applique it to your background square in one unit. If you're brave, you can draw an oval and use the triangles from the pattern to do your own thing.
Block 48
attributed to: Charles D Kemble / Jobstown
I rather like this block! It's a sweet ring of petals with little corner flourishes. I went for a more symmetrical look in the corners and have little sprays of petals.
