There’s No Place Like Home

Clutch and I are in Grand Rapids and mighty glad to be here. We left Traverse City last night on dry roads knowing we were driving toward an area under a Winter Storm Warning. I figured I had dry roads with no snow for about 75 miles so following my son Kevin's advise, I didn't look at the speedometer and drove the Jeep at 2500 rpm until I hit the bad weather. The one time I did glance over I was well over 85 mph. Oh my gosh!
Just as I expected, the sleet started at Reed City and within the length of a couple of football fields I had slowed to 60 mph. The further south I drove the worse it got and 35-40 mph was as fast as I felt comfortable driving. I was very happy to be backing in the driveway safe and sound. Clutch slept peacefully on my lap the entire way home.

I missed posting this weeks Midget block so I'll make it up to you with two blocks on Monday.

I'm off to get groceries for tomorrow's Easter dinner. Have a wonderful day.

Safe Travels

Advertisements:

If you are leaving today like I am to spend Easter with family or friends, I wish you safe travels. Clutch and I are driving into a late winter storm in the southern part of Michigan tonight. We'll just take our time and arrive whenever we get there. No plans for tonight other than hugs and kisses. I tried to pack lightly but somehow managed to nearly fill the back of the Jeep. It's gotta be all Clutch's stuff!

Chihuahua Glasses

Even without the glasses this little guy could tell I was fibbing about that.

The First Day of Spring

Advertisements:

While it still doesn't seem like spring around here and we have a chance of lake effect snow today I'm glad it's officially here. I think if I have a break at work today I'll go try on a the brightly colored, comfy sundress I saw at the shop across the street.

I can't believe we're already at the 20th of the month with our Motifs of March. Each day I have a difficult time choosing what to post for you. Are there any special requests? Email me with your suggestions. I may not be able to answer each individual email right now because of my schedule but I do want to post designs that will make you smile.

I posted two blocks on the page for today because of their size. I'll try to work on a enlargement/reduction chart today you can use on a copy machine to change the block to the size you need. It's really a simple formula and once you've memorized it and have a calculator there's no limit to what you can do.

I hope the sun is shining where you are today. Happy Spring Stitches everyone!
